Addicted Addicted Addicted

You must be thinking as to what did I get addicted to.

Is it to any of those doping stuff??
No guys never will I:)
Then is it to TV, food, movies etc etc.
No guys none of these
Then it should be work..
nope:)..
Ahh!! how dumb I was, how will someone like you who blogs sitting at office be addicted to work..
yep:)
then to wht did u get addicted to??
Its to my alter ego guys, my blogspot :D

Every now and then I open my page, not to post but to check if someone has dropped a comment and to check my hit count:D. Greedy female, that I am. Though there were not many comments the hit count was inceasing slowly and gradually, looking at it my poor soul felt happy(thinking, slow and steady wins the race). Only then did my grey cells wake up from its dream and said, “My dear Bhuvana, your hit count for sure is increasing slowly, but my dear its because you have been visiting your own page every now and then, so, dear, most of the hit count is because of you”. Listening to this my poor soul felt dejected and was in doldrums all this while.
I cajoled it to write a post, telling its fine, you are here to post your views but not to bother of your hit count, and thats how this post.

As I am here let me present you with one of my pencil sketching done by placing a real-life object. The lighter shades tells that sun light was falling in those areas(Great Invention:D).

okk thn, c u, have a nice time:)

NOTE: Hey guys, if you notice you can see a faded imprint of krishnar's face in the background of this sketch. Its because I kept the sketch of krishnar on top of this:)

My kudos to you, Mr O P Bhatt

My hearty Congratulation to you, Mr O P Bhatt, Chairman of SBI, for winning CNN-IBN’s Indian of the Year- in the Business Category for 2007. Greater than the award is you being ahead of corporate world famous giants of Ambanis, Mittal and Maalya. Your achievement in bringing the public sector to the forefront with all its constraints is really commendable. Unlike others who were vying for the title, neither u become a billioneer with this outcome nor you become a house hold name, for the common man just knows tht SBI is growing, they may not know as who is leading it to the top of the charts. But you will get the kudos for making the public sector compete with private secotrs and win over them. As you want your bank to become a global player I have a piece of advice/suggestions.

SBI may be making profits in the share market, it may be giving huge dividends to its investors, but its lagging behind whn it comes to the main motto of any bank i.e., to serve its people. I can say this for I have a personal experience to back it with. When I moved to Bangalore 2 ½ years back, I wanted to transfer two of my SBI accounts of 2 different places to Bangalore and merge thm. For this I filled all the relevant papers, handed over my 2 a/c books. After a month or so whn I enquired the status of my application I came to knw that they have misplaced my a/c books nd cud’nt trace thm. Then started my days of trauma. From thn on it became more of a ritual for me to visit the branch on every Saturday. I had to go and remind thm to do sth to rectify their mistake, thn smehw I’m not sure of, thy transferred my a/c s nd created one here, only to find tht thy created with a wrong name. Finally after rectifying even tht mistake of theirs, thy felt pity at my plight and as a remuneration thy said tht thy will provide me with an online a/c, applications of which hve just arrived at their branch and which is not offered to everyone( according to thm). Finally, I felt, its fine. Only after I opened the online a/c I found tht my name has been mispelt in my home page (according to thm it will not affect my transactions which may or may not be true). It took almost 3-4 months for all these to end. Till thn every sat, if I’m at b’lore, it became more of a custom to visit the branch once. Its all because in both of my a/cs there was considerable amount. On one of my saturday visits, two more girls were there to open an a/c, who were also visiting the branch for the past 2-3 weeks. On that fine day they got frustrated to the extent tht thy tore the application form in front of the employees and threw it in the dust bin telling tht thy don’t need an a/c.

I don’t say tht these are not happening with private banks(may or may not be). Also I don’t say its because most of the employees of SBI are elderly people. Why because my application was being handled by an youngster whose recklessness and lack of responsibility caused it. And finally it was a good old elderly person, who took the responsibility, even though its was’nt his fault and handled my case. So, Sir, I feel even though the quality of the product which you sell is good, its only the service you offer to public will help you in the long run. This post for sure is not to defame your organization but just to help it in becoming more successful in all fronts.

Congrates once again Sir.

Hey guys and gals (though ‘guys’ addresses both guys n gals, I added 'gals' on a spl req:)), it was quiet an eventful weekend though was home alone. I finished one oil painting and the other is waiting to get embellished. The one which I am done with is an abstract painting and it has come out gud, the other has got no of fine details to touch upon.

The most interesting part of my weekend was me preparing 'Karjikaai', a sweet made in south. It resembles samosa, but in cresent shape with sweet stuffing. Few of my frends at office were lucky enough to taste it:), but a sincere request, pls don’t ask thm as hw it has come out, for who knows it better thn the chef herself:D And here goes my recipe:
For the stuffing:
1 quantity of dry grated coconut,
Sugar based on ur taste buds need and diabetic level
Cardomon
And I added 3/4th quantity of roasted Bengal gram
Grind all at one go to a coarse powder
For the outer cover:
I added 2 quantities of wheat flour with 1 quantity of maida

Mix wheat flour n maida with little water, knead it and make it like chapathi dough.
Make small balls out of the dough, roll thm like chapathi, put the stuffing in the centre, fold it at the center and bind the edges together. Take care while pressing the ends together, so that the stuffing does'nt spill while frying.
Then deep fry it in oil till it turns golden brown.
And now its ready to eat :)

What I prepared looked exactly like this. (courtesy: google the great)
But the sad twist in the story came after few hours when it lost its crispiness:(
My frends say that I shd hve used only maida or added little ghee while kneading. Expert advice is appreciated in this regard.
Hwever it was a good attempt, done single handedly without any supervision.
So, if someone wants to try this and r in dire need of expert suggestion, I’m always there for u:)

Now I could hear quiet a few of you asking to present my paintings:) thanq guys:) I always knew that you ppl are always there to encourage me. And here goes my second

sketching and my second water color.
The water color is an imitation of a greeting card. I won't put my comments on these, for u know as wht thy will be.
Okk, c u thn, hve a nice day:)

WIB

No, this is definitely not a ‘story or reel’ on the lines of MIB, but a real story which started in Israel almost 20 years back. Women In Black (WIB) is a movement started by Israeli women who stand in silent vigil to protest against their countrymen occupying ther neighbour’s land. Excerps from Sunday’s The Hindu magazine, http://www.hindu.com/mag/2008/01/20/stories/2008012050050200.htm . In the present happening world where ppl are bothered about them, themselves and only themselves, its wonderful to see these women in Israel, who r fighting for their fellow beings, fellow beings not frm there mother land, but frm across the territory and are condemning the actions of their own countrymen. Their resolution is very candid and simple, its to save their country frm the blame of occupying the land which is not their’s and their refusal to be enemies with their neighbouring country. The result of this is yet to be seen, but for the nobel cause thy are fighting for thy are tagged as 'traitors'. Still thy r firm on their resolve - 'to see two states - Israel and Palestine -existing side by side'.

My First Blog

Finally I’m into blogging. Its almost an year since I hve been thinking of starting a blog of mine nd its almost 4-5 months since I hve created a blogger a/c. Nw everyone out there might have made a wild guess that they will be reading my second blog after an year or two. I promise tht I will prove all u guys wrong :D

The title of my blog is certainly based on the movie “Life is beautiful”. Me, not being an avid movie watcher, once visited a DVD shop with the thought of borrowing “In Pursuit of Happiness”, and accidentally the words “Life is Beautiful” came out of my mouth. Nd the guy over there happily lended me the DVD; only thn did I realize tht I blurted out wrong words nd said its not wht I want, I wnt 'In Pursuit of Happiness'. He was dumb struck whn I said tht I don’t know tht a movie called “life is beautiful’ exists nd accidently the words came out of my mouth. Thn he said its a movie worth watching nd asked me to watch it. I really had to thank him later as its really worth a millon dollar. The actors did’nt act but just lived the characters. The incredible acting by Guido, who laughs over adversity nd wins over it is worth no of oscars. He makes u laugh nd at the same time leaves a tear in ur eye. He illustrates quiet effectively as hw one can paint a beautiful life with courage, love n sacrifice

GOD has created evey being beautifully, its upto us as hw to glorify it. Below r the few lines from http://www.pravsworld.com/; I found it apt and within context to my present post.

Go ahead with life as it is, with the bumps and pitfalls.
However it is, give your best to every moment.
Don't spend your time waiting for the perfect situation,
something which is not very likely to come.
Life is not perfect;
the way you live can make it perfectly wonderful.

nd I hve added the word colorful to my blog name, because I feel its unfair on my part to bore “My dear readers’ to death with my writings; so, I would love to exhibit few of my paintings thru this blog, ( I would hear quiet a few of u mumbling "hw can u be so unsympathetic, using ur paintings to kill a person, who is already on the verge of death after reading ur blog").’My dear reader’, I agree I’m not tht grt painter, but with ur encouragement I’ll become one smeday(hope so:D).

So guys, please bear with me(or its like u hve no other option:D). Granted the permission, here goes my first drawing in B&W(mother of all color combinations); my first pencil drawing after a gap of nearly 9-10yrs. And the one below is my first water color. Looks like a kinder-garden kid's painting:). I have done quiet a few after these, which are better than these, but for sure these look pretty(enough of self-boasting).

okk guys, c u thn. Have a nice day:)
