Thank God, I'm not a celeb!!!

Today on my way to office in our office cab, the junk paper Bangalore Times was lying in front of me and my eyes feel on sizzling Kajol in the front page. So, I felt I shall check as what is written about her. Only thn did I come to know the abysmal state of their lives. I used to think the worst thing of being a celeb or socialite is they don’t have a private life. But something worse than that is, the memory of all those page 3 reporters is so amazing that they can catch a celeb wearing a dress which he/she has worn some 2-3 yrs back. Great minds at junk work. So, they can’t repeat even their favourite clothes for atleast few years. Celebs, for whom partying is part n parcel of life, will some day end up in trauma; for eveytime they plan for a party they have to crosscheck if they have worn it in the recent past and recent past means, recent years not weeks or months. Kajol adored the BT today, for she failed to follow this code of conduct. So, the only viable option is they should buy a new one everytime they party. In that case they also loose the joy of shopping; it’s a joy only when u do it once in a while.

Finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally!! I could make my lazy bones to get up and go for a morning walk:). Ahh!! It was such an uphill task. For the past 2 weeks I have been rigourously trying on this. Apart from the usual alarm I also used to keep a reminder with some terrible tone. Finally, yesterday I got up and went for a walk at a nearby park. I wanted to post it yesterday itself, but was scared if it ends up to be a one day achievement, for I have many such achievements. I have set number of examples till now to prove that 'things started with a bang may end with a bang'. So, I waited to check if my lazy bones will react today also to the alarm. Though it reacted a little late it was finally ready for a walk. Tomorrow n day after will be rest for them. I just hope that the 2 day holiday does'nt turn out to be an extended holiday and finally end up as a permanent holiday:(.
guys n gals hve a nice weekend:)

Mekedatu - My first travelogue

I am here today because I realized that its thursday, and its high time to give my weekend update. Hey guys, it was an adventurous weekend that passed by. I went on a trek to Mekedatu with office gang, half of them I just knew by face before the trip. Its around 90+Km from b’lore. The adventurous gang comprised of Vaishali, Surya, Lokesh, sks, Anoop, Anirudh, Divya, Saritha, Sreekanth, Keshav, Kiran, Anupam, Vishal and urs truly:). We started at 7 in the morning and reached the spot Sangam, i.e., sangamam(merging) of Cauvery and Arakavati rivers. We had starters from the lunch menu for breakfast as that is what u get in the restaurent. Its because he rules the place as there r no other restaurants there to give him a tough competition. Then v started for the trip with complexion conscious guys applying sun screens. We walked through water which was just 1-2 foot deep for around a distance of 3-4m and then embarked on our trek on rocks to reach Mekedatu. U can also trek on road which runs parallelly or can take a bus which plies once every half an hour. But we felt its not for guys like us:D. For the first one hour it was rather easy. After that the path seemed tougher, because of big rocks, to cross which we did some sort of mini rock climbing(does’nt know if it can be called rock climbing, but I would like to call it so to satisfy my poor soul:)). In the middle of the trek v took a little long break, to do some adventure with running water. Initially I thought I will just dabble with water, but the infectious ebulliem of others inspired me to enter water. Everyone of us played a lot by throwing water on eveyother person who is nearby. But someday I would like to take revenge on Vaishali, Surya nd Sreekanth who helped me to climb on to the rock which was in the middle of water and then 3 of them started throwing water on me. Once thy took a break, I partly took my revenge by doing the same feat. Then after sometime we felt enough of water adventures and resumed with our trek. After little more of trekking most of us were loosing stamina because of hunger. We had respite with the bread we were carrying. After that few of thm felt they had enough adventure nd took the road, but few of us(Vaishali, Surya, Lokesh, Keshav, Kiran nd myself) were determined to tread the path of rocks nd went ahead. Then it became more tougher because for every step we had to decide if v r taking the right path, which ofcourse my frends were doing and I was just following them. In between we took a break to play with little fishes in the water. The sight of those cute fishes carrying pieces of marrie biscuit offered to them was lovely:). Thn v trekked for somemore time, but still Mekedatu was beyond our sight, and I was loosing my energy. Finally at around 2:30 v decided that its better to take the road, as the destination is beyond sight, nd it was very sunny. Then v took the road nd to our surprise v reached the destination in 5 min. The whole fun was in trekking on the path full of stones, u miss a lot if u take the bus on trek on the road, for I felt there is nothing great watchable at Mekedatu. Its only the journey to reach it thats interesting. You should c those rocks which have be sculptured in different shapes with different cuts by the running water and it must have taken ages and the water was turquoise-clear as u proceed. After reaching Mekedatu we gobbled food, spent some time nd came back by bus to Sangam. People need to carry food with them, for nothing except soft drinks are available there. After reaching the Sangam spot, few of them wanted to play in the waters of sangam. But I did’nt as the thought of me being neck deep in water gave me palpitations. However it was a nice, memorable trip and its special as its my first trek.

By the Mekedatu means a narrrow gorge which even a goat can leap over. 'Meke' means goat in Kannada and Telugu.
My legs and thighs were aching for 2 days, and now i'm perfectly alright and all set ready for my next trip:)
Hve a nice day:)

Shaan

Everyone out there must be thinking as how come a post on Shaan today. Its like this; It being my blogspot, and me being ardent fan of Shaan, someday a post has to be devoted to him, nd that someday is today because the fragrance of his music has engulfed my house yesterday night nd his songs have occupied my playlist and are being played continuously right from morning. My memories of Shaan take me back to his days as the host of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and his album Tanha Dil ( particularly the title track). Whenever I feel like listening to songs in my tape-recorder (yeah, tape-recorder:), I belong to one of those medieval groups who still use it:D), my hands first fall on Shaan’s cassette(now you guys must be thinking its because its the only cassette I have:D and I would like to say you are wrong:))

His charm, humility, down to earth attitude adds grace to his sweet melodious voice. Added to these I feel he has got great anchoring skills, for his infectious warmth keeps the participants at ease.

To add beauty of the post on this sweet person let me present my paintings.

The one on the right is one of my water colors. And the other one is imitation of kutti krishnar who adores one of the walls of my home.
Sayanora:) Hve a nice evening:)

Illusions

"Well, Donald, Part One: I do not exist to impress the world. I exist to live my life in a way that will make me happy."
"OK. Part Two?"
"Part Two: Everybody else is free to do whatever they feel like doing, for a living.
Part Thtree: Responsible is Able to Respond, able to answer for the way we choose to live. There's only one person we have to answer to, of course, and that is ...?"
".....ourelves,"
.
.
.
"Even if the Rule was changed to Do unto others as they want to be done to, we can't know how anybody but ourselves wants to be done to. What the Rule means, and how we apply it honestly, is this: Do unto others as you truely feel like doing unto others.

Yeah, I agree, its pure plagiarism, each letter, word, formation is from the book Illusions, which I was reading on my way to office. I read the book for the first time some 2-3 years back, when I could'nt assimulate number of points, even now number of points are beyond my comprehension.

These words reminded me of Hoard Roark, who lives life on his terms, who does unto others what he feels like doing unto others with no emotions attached to his actions, who is all and only practical in life, who leads a happy life irrespective of what happens with his life and what others do to his life.... its really good if one can lead such a life, for everyone wants to lead a happy life, for we will be passing through this life only once.. But if everyone becomes a Hoard Roark, Donald Shimoda, Richard what will happen to the world, how does the world which is void of emotions look like...
